What to include in a notice
A notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for the owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work. If the notice covers multiple works on one site, a representative list may be used.
- The material you believe infringes the copyright and enough information to locate it. Include the exact page URL or, for game content, the screen, chapter, or item involved.
- Your contact details, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

How reports are reviewed
We review copyright reports and may ask for clarification or supporting information. Where appropriate, we may remove or restrict access to the material identified. A report should concern material on this website or in the game and identify it clearly enough for us to find it.

If you believe a removal was mistaken
If material was removed or access was restricted because of a copyright report and you believe there was a mistake or misidentification, email us with the original location of the material and any related correspondence.
If the DMCA counter-notice process applies, a counter-notice must include your signature; identification of the removed material and its former location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, and telephone number.
It must also include consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. federal district court and acceptance of service from the original claimant or their agent. For a U.S. address, this is the district where the address is located; for an address outside the U.S., it is any district where the service provider may be found.
